Astrocartography gives us another way to look at those changes.

What you will understand by the end
I prepare the reading around the places you bring and the reason you’re considering them.
So if you’re choosing between cities because of your career, we’ll spend more time looking at work, visibility, direction and the kind of professional life each place may emphasise.
If your question is about relationships, retirement, home, family, wellbeing or a trip where you want to switch off for two weeks, we’ll look at the places through that question.
By the end, you should have a much better sense of:
what each place seems to emphasise in relation to what you care about;
where one location differs remarkably from another;
what may come more naturally in a place and what may ask more from you;
which trade-offs are worth thinking about before you move, stay or travel;
what you may want to prepare for if you choose a particular location;
and, when we’re comparing options, which place appears more supportive for a particular priority when the astrology gives us a clear distinction.
For example, you might come in wondering:
“Would New York be a good place for me to live?”
And leave understanding something more specific, such as:
And by the end we may be talking about something much more useful:
“New York seems to put a lot of emphasis on visibility, boldness and professional momentum for me. At the same time, the pace may require much more attention to rest and looking after myself. Career-wise, I can see why I’m drawn to it. I’d also need to ask myself whether I actually want the lifestyle that comes with that right now.”
If we’re comparing New York with another city, I’ll tell you where I see differences between them and what those may mean for the priorities you’ve brought to me.
I won’t finish the session by saying, “Move to New York.”
But if New York looks more supportive for the career question you’ve asked, while another place looks more interesting for the kind of home or lifestyle you want, I’ll say that clearly and explain why.
You’re still the one deciding what matters most.
So, what exactly is Astrocartography?
Astrocartography takes your birth chart and maps it across the world.
It shows us places where different planetary themes may become more prominent for you.
But seeing a Venus line or a Saturn line on a map doesn’t tell us enough on its own.
I also look at how that planet works in your birth chart, the place itself, what you want from it and what else shows up when we look more closely.
Depending on the question, I may also use other location-astrology techniques such as parans, Local Space, relocated charts and cyclocartography.
That’s how we get from:
“You have a line near this city.”
to something much more specific to you and the decision you’re actually trying to make.
I left my home country at 18 and have now spent more than 14 years living abroad.
Over those years, different places have affected my work, relationships, routines, sense of belonging and what I wanted from the next part of my life.
That’s where my interest in location astrology started: with my own questions about place.
Eventually, that personal interest led me to study AstroCartoGraphy professionally and become certified through Continuum.

Astrocartography can look deceptively simple at first. In practice, there is a lot more to consider than the line on the map, if you want to understand what a place may mean for one particular person.

If one location looks more supportive for a particular priority you’ve brought to the reading, I will tell you.
Say you’re comparing two cities mainly because of work.
I might see that one puts much more emphasis on professional visibility and momentum, while the other shifts the focus toward home, relationships or a different pace of life.
I’ll explain those differences and any trade-offs I see.
What I won’t do is turn that into:
“City A is good. City B is bad. Move to City A.”
You decide which set of possibilities actually fits the life you want.
If there’s a place you keep thinking about, let’s look at it properly.
It might be somewhere you already live and still don’t completely understand.
A place you feel strangely drawn to.
