Understand how the same places may feel for each of you, and the life you are building together.

If you’re thinking about moving, trying to understand the place where you already live, or planning an important trip together, this reading looks at both of you — and the relationship — in each place.

We’ll look at how a location may connect with your individual needs, work, home life, family, wellbeing and the kind of life you’re trying to build together.

Choosing a place together is a different question from choosing one for yourself.

You can live in exactly the same city and have two completely different experiences of it.

One of you may love the pace, meet people easily and feel excited about work.

The other may be thinking:

“I don’t know if I can see myself living here long-term.”

A place may be great for one person’s career while the other starts thinking much more about home, family or the kind of day-to-day life they want.

And sometimes the relationship itself feels different in a new place.

That’s what makes choosing somewhere together complex.

There are your needs, your partner’s needs and the life you’re trying to create as a couple.

In this reading, we look at all three.

What if one of you loves astrology and the other really doesn’t?

That’s super common and fine!

One of you may already know your chart and the other may be thinking:

“I have no idea what any of this means, but I’m willing to hear her out.”

I’ll explain the astrology as we go and keep the conversation connected to the things you actually care about.

Neither of you needs to speak astrology.

You both just need to be willing to take part in the conversation.

You might come to an Astrocartography Reading because…

What can we look at together?

Bring the question you’re already discussing at home. It may sound something like:

  • “We’re considering these cities. How would each one be different for us?”

  • “One of us really wants to move and the other isn’t convinced. What are we each picking up on?”

  • “This place seems great for my career, but what would it be like for my partner?”

  • “One of us is thinking about finances and the other about spirituality. How does each city look from both sides?”

  • “Why does one of us love living here while the other wants to leave?”

  • “We know we want to move, but where do we even start?”

  • “Which of these destinations fits what we want from the trip?”

  • “What should we know about this place before deciding whether to move there?”

  • “How might living here change our lives us as a couple, beyond what it means for each of us individually?”

What you will understand by the end

You might arrive asking:

And by the end we may be talking about something much more specific:

“Paris looks very social for one of us. I can see why it could be easier to make friends and feel part of something there. For the other, work seems to take up much more space… there may be more visibility and opportunities, but also more responsibility. And for us as a couple, building a home together looks important there. We’d probably need to be quite deliberate about making time for each other if our lives got busy.”

That gives you something tangible to talk about.

And if we’re comparing Paris with another city, I’ll tell you where I see meaningful differences.

I won’t finish the reading by saying:

“You should move to Paris.”

But I can say:

“For the career question you brought, Paris looks more interesting. For the slower family life you also want, your other option gives us something different to consider.”

Then you get to decide which trade-offs make sense for the two of you.

By the end, you should have a much better sense of:

  • what seems especially relevant for each of you in a particular place;

  • where your needs and priorities line up, and where they don’t;

  • what may come more easily for one person and require more effort from the other;

  • how the places you’re considering differ in ways that actually matter to your decision;

  • what a location may mean for the relationship itself;

  • which trade-offs are worth talking about before you move or travel;

  • and, when the astrology gives us a clear distinction, which place seems more supportive for a particular priority you’ve brought to the session.

There are three things I’m looking at throughout the reading:

What the place may be like for you.

What it may be like for your partner.

And what it may mean for the relationship itself.

So, what exactly is Astrocartography?

Astrocartography takes a birth chart and maps it across the world.

In a couples reading, that means we’re already working with two different location maps.

I look at both natal charts, both astrocartography maps and, when we’re looking at the relationship itself, the Davison relationship chart.

Depending on the question and the location, I may also use other techniques such as parans, Local Space, relocated charts and cyclocartography.

All of that helps us get from:

“You have this Venus AC line in London.”

to:

“Here’s what London seems to be emphasising for you, here’s what it looks like for your partner, and here’s what becomes interesting when we look at the relationship there.”

How the reading works

What clients have taken away from their readings

  • I've had astrocartography readings before, but no one has ever broken it down in a way that I was able to connect the dots to my natal chart. The relocated chart was something new to me too, and provided a real foundation of what to look at when considering a move.

    — Swati K.

  • I felt a great sense of clarity about my next steps for relocation after my session with Alessandra. It was an interactive, calm, yet joyful reading that left me feeling both grounded and inspired. I highly recommend Alessandra for Astrocartography readings.

    — Sarika D.

  • What stuck with me most after the reading was an expanded sense of possibility. Possibilities in how to work with myself and my own energies. Possibilities in future travel or relocation. I feel like my readings offered me encouragement and information to support me as I pursue my own growth and my hopes and dreams.

I know what it means to build a life far from where you started.

I left my home country at 18 and have now spent more than 14 years living abroad.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much a place can change your work, relationships, routines, friendships, sense of home and what you want next.

That’s part of what made me interested in location astrology in the first place.

Eventually, that personal interest led me to study AstroCartoGraphy professionally and become certified through Continuum.

Certified in AstroCartoGraphy through Continuum
Continuum carries forward the work of Jim Lewis, who developed AstroCartoGraphy, including professional ACG proficiency testing and certification.

That training matters to me because astrocartography can look deceptively simple from the outside.

There are colourful lines on a map. It’s tempting to look at one and say:

“Venus = good. Saturn = bad.”

My readings are much more nuanced than that.

I’m looking at how those planets already work in each of your natal charts, the place itself, the question you’ve brought and what happens when we put the different layers together.

This reading may be right for you if…

  • You’re thinking about moving and want to understand how the options look for both of you.

  • You already moved and are having very different experiences of the same place, or you want to understand what’s happening.

  • You’re planning a honeymoon, destination wedding, sabbatical or another important trip together.

  • You want to move but haven’t narrowed down the location yet.

  • You have different priorities and want to understand what each place may offer — or ask from — each of you.

  • You want to look at the relationship itself as well as your individual charts.

  • You’re both willing to take part, even if one of you is much more interested in astrology than the other.

  • You want astrology to give you another layer of insight while keeping the final decision in your own hands.

  • You want me to choose where you should live.

  • You want one definitive “best place in the world” for both of you.

  • You want a guarantee about what will happen if you move somewhere.

  • You’ve already decided that a place is good or bad and only want me to confirm it.

  • You aren’t clear on what you want in terms of intentions, or where you could realistically go.

  • One partner doesn’t want to participate or can’t provide the birth information we need.

  • What you’re looking for is couples therapy or relationship counselling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Finding a place for two people is rarely as simple as finding a place you both like.

You may agree on the destination but want very different things from the life you build there.

Or you may have two cities on the table and keep having the same conversation without getting any closer to a decision.

Bring me the places, the questions and the things each of you cares about.

We’ll look at what each option seems to mean for you, for your partner and for the relationship, including where things line up, where they don’t and which trade-offs deserve a real conversation before you choose.
